The habits of a replicating disciple

May 10, 2026 · NGNA Team

We started asking a simple question a few years ago: of everyone we've trained, who actually went on to start something with someone else? The answer wasn't about charisma, education, or even confidence.

The people who reproduced shared a handful of ordinary habits. They asked questions more than they explained. They invited people into something small before asking for a big commitment. And almost all of them had been personally invited by someone, rather than recruited through an announcement.

None of that is dramatic. It's also not really teachable in a single session — it's more caught than taught, usually by watching someone else do it first.

That's part of why the coaching relationship matters more than the curriculum. You can hand someone a great set of materials and still miss the habits that actually determine whether anything multiplies.
